Please take the time to note when flowers will be removed. We will try to give you as much advance notice as possible. There are areas in Plainview & Edenton Cemeteries that has vegetation (trees, flowers, ect.) that have taken over a number of gravesites and in some cases have covered the headstones. In some cases the vegetation may have throns, which does not allow for proper mowing and trimming of the grounds. It is my intention to remove this type of vegetation in the near future. This type of vegetation will not be allowed in the cemetery grounds. If you or a family member is aware of a situation around your family plot, I would appreciate it if this can be taken care off or you may contact the Township office and I will be glad to discuss this with you, Thank you. We will be seeding new graves in September. If anybody has a concern about the settling of an existing gravesite, please contact the township office and leave a message with the area that needs attention. Phone: 513-625-8124. If your beloved one was a Military veteran please contact the Township office at 513-625-8124 and let us know. Please have the location (ie Section, Lot, ect.) where they are interned. Once I have the information I will do my best to see that they have a military marker (WW1,WW2,Korea,Vietnam,ect) and flag during the major Veteran Holidays. Also, please leave your name and phone number so that I will be able to contact you if there are any questions. Dennis J. Elchlinger Wayne Township Trustee |
